Unhoped: Die harder

21/11/11  ||  Smalley

Despite “Die harder” ripping its name from a rushed Bruce Willis action sequel, the actual music had good thought put into it, with its catchy, groovy, latter-day-Exodus influenced death/thrash. The production is pretty sharp, and it has intense performances all-around, especially in the deep (in pitch), shred-heavy rhythm guitar performance, and they vary up the tempos from blistering to middle like a bunch of pros, but always keep shit catchy. Their vocalist takes after Ihsahn, surprisingly, but he works okay here, and there aren’t any other weird surprises here. All in all…

8,5/10: Easily the best Stub I’ve heard to date.
